Mazda has just announced that its RX-8 four-door sports car has received a few tweaks for the JDM market. As of today the automaker will be accepting orders for a new RX-8 with a six-speed automatic transmission that replaces the previous four-speed slushbox. The new cog swapper is available in the base RX-8 and Type E models, but not the Type S that is only available with a 6-speed manual. The 6-speed AT RX-8 also gets the more powerful 6-port rotary engine that was previously used only in the RX-8 Type S. Finally, the RX-8 Type S and Type E models can be ordered with a Sand Beige Leather Package that spruces up the interior with Sand beige-colored leather upholstery and trim.

It’s going to be battle royal at the box office next Tamil New Year’s day.

Come April 2007, Rajinikanth’s Sivaji is expected to hit the screens. Also Kamal Haasan’s Dasavatharam featuring the actor in 10 different roles is also reportedly hitting the screens.

The battle between Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth’s movies at the box-office is always viewed with interest.

The last time they had their releases on the same day was during the Tamil New Year’s day of 2005. Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi and Kamal Haasan’s Mumbai Xpress were released on the same day.

But this time around, the hot money is on both the movies becoming blockbusters.

And that is indeed good news for the industry.

A R Rehman, the acclaimed music wizard, is all set to don a new role.

Rehman, who has achieved so much at such a very young age, is sought-after worldwide for his catchy music. Be it Tamil, Telugu or Hindi, Rehman has a place for himself.

Now the music maestro has plans to get into the music production business. He would be starting his own music production company titled KM music.

After starting a state-of-the-art music studio in Chennai, which has latest features in it, Rehman will be starting KM Music.

According to Rehman, the company will be trying to find new talents including composers but mainly new voices who could go unnoticed otherwise.

Rehman has plans only to produce music here and not distribute them.

There are several talents that go unrecognized. With KM Music, I am keen to help them to come to light, says Rehman.
