Valavan the album….I was just flippin through the list of songs in my playlist when i came accross this song called “who be d player”….Listen to the track, thought it was not bad and then listen to it abit more and then abit more till finally i was basically able to verse out the lyrics….Then the day came when i saw them performe live…that shit was as cool as it can ever get…..Poetic Ammo is by far the best ever malaysian group ever existed…period…The the life force behind them all is who else but my main man Yogi B…..Rhyming and flip-flaping words seems to come naturally for my bro and you are truely one to look out for…..Now as far is Vallavan is concern, it is a preety decent album but too many confusing tamil words that were pronounced too fast………this is just my 2cents on the whole thing but it would have been awsome if most of the songs could have been done with a little bit of fussion.When i say fussion, what i mean is that there should be a callaboration between English and tamil instead of just singing the entire song in only Tamil or ENglish.Colonial Cousins made it big this way because they were able to master this in their albums. The Song “Siva Siva” was mind blowing with Yogi coming up with some superb verses that lifted the song but then it was down hill all the way. DOnt get me the wrong way, its just that tooo many tamil words being sung too fast over a short period of time….Another example of this would be for the song “Vaa Vaa”………Again excellent work by Yogi but this time the song was not as bad as the first song i mentioned but would have hit the roof if there was some form of fussion involved instead of just throwing 1 or 2 english words in it to make it more confusing to understand.
Overall it was an album that i would purchased, no doubt about it….I wish you the Best of luck guys and keep on rockin……..Well Wisher: Vicky……..:)
