I would like to make a quick update with links regarding the 3G Iphone rumor up to now.

3G iPhone as Jobs said there are power issues with the 3G chipset, and it would be a drain on the unit’s battery life. Since the iPhone advertises 8 hours of call time, this is an unavoidable issue for the time. - 3G iPhone Confirmed for 2008

These thoughts put aside, prices of the 3G iPhone may be what most of potential buyers may be interested in. Our sources told us that there will be at least two models, one with 8 GB and one with 16 GB memory, priced at $399 and $499, respectively. This pricing structure is identical to current iPhones There is a chance that we could see a 32 GB version for $599, but we were not able to receive a confirmation for this claim. - Apple ’s 3G iPhone to be priced from $399

On the other hand SingTel has made some announcement that iPhone would be available to their customers sometime in late September this year. Since the 3G iPhone’s are around the corner, I’m sure SingTel would offer this as most users in Singapore rely on the 3G Network.

Besides that, other Asian countries such as China, Japan & India are said to also have the iPhones available by end of the year. For Malaysian users, still no news.
