Over the reason months, since the beginning of the year or so, Mc Donald’s Delivery Service in Malaysia have drastically fallen in efficiency. 

  • Confusions - As most people should know by now that Mc Donanld’s has a standard delivery number “1300131300″. All delivery order are taken at the their call center HQ and then sent to respective branches. The problem is, most of the time their systems are down, and when that happens, orders tend to get messed up. 
  • Late - Waiting hours have been becoming a serious problem in the recent months. It’s becoming a McD’s trademark. Before taking an order, its so usual for Mc Donald’s to ask you “Are you willing to wait sir for 60 mins/ 120 mins” since the waiting time is long. And if you agree, the promised waiting time has never been kept. It’s always an hour late and sometimes I had to even call back after 3 hours of order ? If they have so many orders growing everyday, why can’t they hire more delivery guys ? 
  • Excuses - Im not sure why they always avoid taking orders. As I said in the previous point, questions such as “Are you willing to wait..” would be asked. But even worse, faking weather situations ? Rain a factor ? “Sir, Im sorry, your area is currently raining”. What would happen if you rely on Mc Donald’s delivery everyday. I understand if its actually raining, it might be a pain for them to be deliver. But the problem and fact  is, the particular area was not raining at all. Even at the branch from where the food came.

It’s a ridiculous act by Mc Donald’s to call you after about three hours of order time and say  “Sorry sir for the delay, We have just sent your order”. Comes together with the food ordered, a free Green Tea. I checked around, over the same week, many got free green tea’s due to delays. What’s up Mc Donald’s. I have always admired their efficient service from day one, but things currently are getting out of hand. Service is just getting worse day by day. Its not important to grow branches but to focus on service quality my dear Mc Donald’s. My advice to Mc Donald’s is to start hiring more Delivery Guys for the go. 

Update : The Ice Tea was for orders more than RM 20 on delivery. What for? Substitute for “sorry we are late?”
