As we all knew that this was already coming, Yahoo officially replied to Balmer that the bid offers are too low and it under values Yahoo.
From Yahoo Press Release :
At the same time, we have continued to make clear that we are not opposed to a transaction with Microsoft if it is in the best interests of our stockholders. Our position is simply that any transaction must be at a value that fully reflects the value of Yahoo!, including any strategic benefits to Microsoft, and on terms that provide certainty to our stockholders.
Yahoo’s stern reply has made Microsoft look bad to some extends. I wonder what the folks at Google and other competitors would be thinking? Having a good laugh perhaps. Earlier in one of Michael Arrington post, he linked a video of two immature hockey players fight and related it to Microsoft-Yahoo current situation.
Balmer pressured Yahoo ? Hopefully, this reply would end this issue. Anyway, What’s the big deal Microsoft ? Roundup from NYtimes,
