I often get asked by parents who are very curious on their child’s knows and hows. Would my child like social media? Would my child be technically inclined? When should he/she start? 

Well, Chill… Do you know that you are freaking out your kids?

How many of you have ever asked or studied your kids true performance and skills. What are his/hers passion? What’s his/hers interest at? This are the first few questions that need to be answered first. 

When the question ” when should a child be exposed or be thought social media” asked. Well I get a bit hyped. It’s always against my policy to force any kid or in a matter of fact anyone something that they don’t like. 

Observe what your kid does first. If he or she has an interested on the social web or technology, then they would find their way on the web, on their own. And once they are on, they would find their ways to blogs such as mine for more info. It’s the same way how we all started. Trial & error fits the best.  

At the same time, do not aspect your kid to be inclined at the backbone of social media how to’s because that may not be he/she’s interest on. They would definitely use social media as it is a lifestyle today but there are other various blogs & networks to their interest that they would subscribe to. Its again their interest.

Some may prefer new media creation. Being a host. Entertaining a niched crowd. Some may prefer skilled work such as designing and engineering processes. Some may prefer entrepreneurial leadership contents. Minds are different. Do never force anyone at any time. 

Many are born to be leaders but parents who do not acknowledge that and presume that you know what’s best for your child might just ruin your child’s capabilities and future. Dear Parents, Think Again! It is your job to guide them to their interest with parental care until a day you should know when to completely let your child to be independent. 

On regarding social media, it’s common for teenagers to grab hold of it early in life. That’s good enough. A common understanding would already be there when its time for them to do something professional. Talking in this aspect, parents are also warned that the upcoming generations are to be maturing and prospering with mind blowing ideas very early in life. This has already been proven by genetical research. The upcoming generation at the age of 13 would think way ahead of what a man would think today at his mid 40’s. So parents, start opening up early.

I woke up this morning and was feeling not to well as in slight stomach cramps and a mild cold. I think it makes much sense for me to write about this issue today. 

Does being ill reduces your general productivity.

Of course it does. Even the slightest discomfort would. I guess when you are ill, your nerves are telling your brain to slowdown and to give some extra caution to what ever is infected. And generally we don’t and we as super human beings love to work. That’s when you notice, you are not performing as you planned or did before. So what are certain things that could be taking into consideration in order to reduce our selfs from becoming ill.

Exercising said to be key rule? 

Of course I would agree with that. But do we have time? Can we find time is a better question here. You could be like Jonathan Fields who burns 600 calories a day while blogging. I would rather say to wake up a little extra perhaps. Don’t complain on waking up early as you would be feeling fresh once you are done with a simple JOG. You could do Yoga and trust me it has helped a lot to some. Personally, if you have a treadmill, a couple of minutes is good enough. Burns some calories and loose some sweat. You are already on a healthy track.

Having the right supplements & remedy. Take your medications at the right time!

There are a lot of people out there who are looking at alternatives and new researched mind boggling biological medications from plants or so to stay save. I’m not a pharmacist nor a doctor but I guess I would stick to a doctors prescription and maintain the exercise routine as I mentioned above. The reason is simply this. I would rather trust someone who has done various research and studies regarding your personal health rather then following an ordinary guy promoting a product . There is no offense to anyone with such products here.  This is just me I guess. There is nothing wrong at all by taking alternatives from plants or so. Trust me, I would take some that are more in a general form. A herbal green tea? That’s a better idea. The rule is simple. Know what you are consuming. Get a physician advice before you take anything. Even vitamins are great. But do get an advice from an expert on what particular vitamin one needs. 

I love food but food does not love me. Catchy phrase but that’s the truth.

Seriously as a person I love food. But I’m highly sensitive to food recently. As an Indian, the spices are now slowly against me. That’s seriously weird. I guess each of us have our own spice limit. What happens is, I get weird stomach burns. That’s not too bad compared to my sensitivity to eggs and dairy. Sigh. I can’t have those in my diet or else I would be triggering a serious migraine. I got to know this by going through some allergy test. I think everyone should know what food is best for them. And by knowing such build a healthy diet on it. Forget about the people who say this, “You are young, eat while you can”. Young is where and when it all begins. Food consume may not be in a large quantity but it should be in rich nutritional value. You know the pyramid. I don’t have to remind you on that. Last but not least, Water! Lots of water.

Just this morning I arrived back home from India. Seriously it was a tiring one week trip. Had a couples of flights taken and I think I’m a bit shaky after all those cabin pressure. Coming to the post title. As I was in India, I was just thinking how could one developing country speed up their development and as well improve it. Im not pointing out that my trip was bad here but wanted to share some thoughts that might put some to ponder. 

Its important on how a country gains its respect and trust. Below I listed some key facts that a developing country needs to take in count in order for it to reach a world class status. 

Cleanliness - I think I don’t have to mention anything much here. I was basically caring a bottled water everywhere I went. This is because I have a very sensitive immune system and I hardly agree with any sort of the tinniest contamination in water. So how the question here is how am I to feel Save. The answer is pretty simple, the people have to really practice serious hygiene in everything. From food to hospitality, quality control is seriously needed as a practice. 

Mentality - How do you enforce the cleanliness or hygiene control? The key factor is that the government and people should change their mindset towards a modern day living and its importance. I believe the government should start training their citizens on such via workshops or so in order for people to realize the importance of such conditions. 

Applying Knowledge - India is known for its brain power. Believe me, I saw many with my own eyes and I can assure you that. The problem is, all the knowledge and technology created has not seemed to be applied into their own country much. Everything is applied I don’t know where. Airports and various public systems are still reflecting a very unprofessional feel. It still feels old and uncomfortable. To me, the most important is appearance. Its just like our selves and the way we dress up. We project an image. So as a country. 

So I stated three main facts above. Cleanliness, mentality and applying knowledge. This are seriously stuffs not to be overlooked. We are leaving in a professional world today and three main things stated above are common ethics within professionals. So that obviously states its importance and I hope all those points above are seriously taken into considerations.

One again, Google is back to dominate the social web applications industry with Google Health. Google Health allows you to do wonders with your medical history. It sure does sounds good but it does perform even better. Lets walk through with some brief details. 

Google Health, gives you your right to have your medical profiles and history to be available with you at all times through the web. Though some worry about security breach on your profiles and so. Well worry not as Google promises that your informations are safe, secure and free with them. Do make sure you read the terms and conditions during sign up. 

So what does, Google Health Do ?

• Organize - All your medical profiles, list of doctors seen and their comments etc can now be all sorted out with ease. It looks very professional as well. Not to forget, its productive. 
• Seek - You could even find for new doctors and hospitals with the build in Google Maps Systems.
• Gather - Collect all your medical records and upload them to your Google Health account. Obviously not all soft copy medical records are supported. Certain hospitals such as St.Luke’s Hospitals are supported as they have an online profile for each patients. There are a list of other personal health sites that you could link your account with. If your hospitals are not supported, you could always type it in your self. Other health related items that you could keep a record would be Condition, Medications, Allergies, Procedures, Test results and Immunizations.
• Stay Up To Date - Keeping your doctors updated with all your history is certainly important and I see a huge potential in this new Google’s service. Besides that, it gives you certain notifications and warnings when you have new medications added to your list regarding allergies etc. It constantly scans your data and alerts you with related health issues. Do always stay informed with new researches and so on with Google Health. 

I would strongly recommend everyone to open up an account with Google Health. There is a huge potential for this service to everyone. Keeping track of your health is the most important thing besides your financial track records. I would love to see a personal financial management web application by Google too. I received this email a couple of times, which is regarding the alternatives ways to treat cancer. Below are informations provided by John Hopkins regarding alternative treatments summarized. Some of the information below may seem helpful and it is up to you approach this alternatives.

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more times in a persons lifetime.

3. When a person’s immune system is strong , the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and eventually forming tumors. As well when a person has cancer , it also indicates that he/she has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

4. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

5. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

Cancer cells feed on :

• Sugar, is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like Nutrasweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg’s aminos or sea salt.
• Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells are being starved.
• Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful,especially to people with cancer.
• A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).
• Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water- best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.
• Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.
• Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body’s killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.
• Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor ssence,Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins,minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body’s own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body’s normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.
• Cancer is a disease of the mind,body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, un forgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.
• Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.
