I have a strong feeling that this soundtracks are going to be on my highest critic criteria. Seriously if I was to rate this out of 5, I would give it 0.5 or most to most 1.
To be honest I expected so much from Vidyasagar and Yogi B. After having great music by A.R.Rahman for Azhigiya Thamizh Magan, I thought Vijay’s next would be great. Hopes failed. I just don’t understand why they made the music so intolerant to be heard. Besides that the scenes are to be in Malaysia as well.
Yogi B and Dr.Burn having a track called “Happy New Year“. What’s happened to them? Where’s that boom this guys had in “Vallavan”? The song is almost pretty dead and bland. Ok fine the Malay talks in-between kind of promotes the Malaysian background but seriously in general, the song can’t be listened for more than 30 seconds.

The other tracks in general are seriously painful to be heard. Normally when its a Vijay’s movie, the songs has great amplitude in it like “Adungada” from Pokkiri. But the songs in Kuruvi, instead of having great amplitude, it has great amount of noise.
I seriously hope, the next Vijay’s movie titled “Singam” directed by Prabhu Deva would live up to its expectations in term of music at least.
By the way, there have been some buzz around regarding Kuruvi’s story line. It seems there are particular aspects from the movie “Transporter” whereby a package is handed over to be delivered with no questions asked.
