Recently, as we know Twhirl was acquired by Loic from Seesmic. Since then its popularity grew enormously. Well is that to coming to an end?

Friend Feed, few days back had its desktop application released. Its called Alert Thingy. And less then a week, its added a new feature for twitter. Direct post and viewing of the timeline. Thats an alert for Twhirl.

Many users out there including me prefer Friendfeed. Why ? Because its all centralized. Every single updates of yours, now could placed on a single place. So instead of jumping here and there, you are able to stay at one place and receive respected updates as well.

Ok, If you look at it. Though Alert Thingy may sound as the next thing, I do believe Twhirl would remain in the hearts of those twitter fans. The ability to do cross postings on it is still its pluses. And for people who do only rely on twitter, Twhirl is still the best option.
