Interesting enough, we have been seeing some of the weirdest moments in the technology industry recently. Just as Microsoft-Yahoo issues are roaming around the corner, we have a new entry to swirl things a bit more.

Yahoo & Google at in a state of “testing waters” on jointly sharing advertisement spaces. The test is however not permanent according to both sources. If things are positive in test results, I believe its the time where the markets gets less competitive. That is when we would see a new shift in the market, perhaps worsening current situations.

Industry analyst say that this sort of moves are in nature to frustrate Microsoft. Microsoft currently are in rumors to be jointly bidding with News Corp for Yahoo at a higher price.

Report from BBC says that Microsoft strongly crticised this test venture of Google-Yahoo.

Microsoft criticised Yahoo’s advertising trial with Google, saying any lasting deal would not be in the consumers’ interests.

“Any definitive agreement between Yahoo and Google would consolidate over 90% of the search advertising market in Google’s hands. This would make the market far less competitive,” Brad Smith, Microsoft’s General Counsel said.
