Do you ever realize how much of “link-back” traffic you may be loosing all this years? I often come across blogspot comments that uses a google account as an ID. It’s fine. But the fact is, it’s very annoying.

Why? Because as a common due, we would aspect it to redirect to the commenters site/blog but it does not. All it does is to direct you to the commenters blogger profile. Now that’s annoying, and out of frustration I might just shut the window/tab. Now how much of potential visitors, readers and subscribers are you missing out?

The simple solution to this is already built-in on the blogspot comment system. Instead of choosing a Google/Blogger ID, opt for the Name/URL option. Have your desired name and blog URL posted. Now enjoy an amount of traffic that you missed, over the years.

Update : I just noticed that many blogspot, blog authors do not turn on the Name/URL option as like in below. Now this could really have affects on both sides. First it may turn me off from commenting, as there are no link-bank options. Second, you might loose dedicated readers(blog authors on blogspot of course).

  We currently have a rumor here going by that, there would be a MacBook touch nearby the corner of this year. It is claimed to be the most rumored issued after the iPhone break. Sources of so called confirmations too are being circulating around. It is also stated that those sources seems to be called as a valid source. 
• I posted back some time ago about Google’s Code Android, a mobile platform. Well it was HTC that supposed to release a phone model for Android, but rumors was claiming that the release is delayed to 2009. However, HTC slammed at the media responding that the rumors was fake and the phones would be seen this year. Well, let’s wait and see.
• 
  The all new James Bond Aston One-77. Aston Martin has just released some pictures of this beauty.
• 
  In the spirits of the Olympics? Well check this cool new Adidas Olympics themed shoes. I kind of prefer the black one. Well the black one I meant and more could be found here. 
• 
  The new Sony Ericsson’s T700. Wo… This is some slim phone. But I wonder with all the design details perfect, why is the camera resolution quite low? 3.2MP only. Anyway, here’s the press release

We wish to bring to your attention our traffic prioritization policy with regards to P2P and Fair Usage Policy. We would like to reiterate that the P2P throughput is subject to peers (seed) availability and their throughput as well.  Kindly note that TM does not have any control over peers’ availability or throughput.  

The Fair Usage Policy automatically identifies the extremely heavy users and manages their bandwidth in order to protect the service of all our other customers. This traffic prioritization policy will protect the quality of service for the majority of our customers when they use the service, while at the same time, still allowing the extremely heavy users to continue to send and receive files with certain restrictions. With this policy in place, we will prioritize Internet activities like web browsing, live streaming, messaging applications and VOIP access while traffic to P2P sites will be given lower priority, due to the high bandwidth consumption of such services.

Well, I have been a pioneer user of their broadband service, Streamyx. I guess I understand the situation faced by them as I believe they lack the infrastructure to cope such situations. But that does not mean, as a user I sit down for weeks and have really irately slow speeds of connectivity.

When I mean slow, Well imagine taking 30 seconds to a minute to load Google’s home page and I’m on the 1MB package. Sigh. Im currently hunting for alternatives and I’m sure most of you who live in or work in Malaysia do. Well, below are a bunch of other broadband ISP’s and solutions that I would recommend. Including WiMax options. There are actually more options, but they don’t seem proper somehow. 

• P1, WiMaX
• TimeNet
• Maxis Wired Broadband (Requires Maxis Fixed Line)
• Celcom Broadband
• Airzed, WiMaX
• Jaring Broadband
• PenangFon, Fiber Optics Broadband (The prices seems reasonable, I would like to look into this further. Anyone?)

Not long ago, I wrote a post regarding youtube’s quality and performance which was as well compared with Vimeo. Today, I felt something was different on youtube. The players has been refreshed. They heard my rumblings? Well, to be honest, its not bad. It looks stylish & easy to use as well. 

Some extra feature that I noticed was about keyboard shortcuts. It responded to certain actions on the keyboard. More of a quicktime type of features. Spacebar for Pause/Play. Right/Left arrows for Forward/Rewind. To me, It’s a good feature. Although, there is a problem in the player. The timeline marker could not be dragged easily. You might find at times its stubborn and refuses to play at the point you clicked. Probably test beta is going on. Anyhow, this is a bug I am reporting. Hope the team takes note.

Overall, I admire the efforts taken by the youtube team. This is what we call service. Responding to user demands. We all gave our suggestions and they did respond to some although they are slow in upgrades. Youtube, is always respected as a pioneer. However, I still do not like the community over there no matter what and it’s never going to be close to Vimeo. Then again, great job Youtube!

One again, Google is back to dominate the social web applications industry with Google Health. Google Health allows you to do wonders with your medical history. It sure does sounds good but it does perform even better. Lets walk through with some brief details. 

Google Health, gives you your right to have your medical profiles and history to be available with you at all times through the web. Though some worry about security breach on your profiles and so. Well worry not as Google promises that your informations are safe, secure and free with them. Do make sure you read the terms and conditions during sign up. 

So what does, Google Health Do ?

• Organize - All your medical profiles, list of doctors seen and their comments etc can now be all sorted out with ease. It looks very professional as well. Not to forget, its productive. 
• Seek - You could even find for new doctors and hospitals with the build in Google Maps Systems.
• Gather - Collect all your medical records and upload them to your Google Health account. Obviously not all soft copy medical records are supported. Certain hospitals such as St.Luke’s Hospitals are supported as they have an online profile for each patients. There are a list of other personal health sites that you could link your account with. If your hospitals are not supported, you could always type it in your self. Other health related items that you could keep a record would be Condition, Medications, Allergies, Procedures, Test results and Immunizations.
• Stay Up To Date - Keeping your doctors updated with all your history is certainly important and I see a huge potential in this new Google’s service. Besides that, it gives you certain notifications and warnings when you have new medications added to your list regarding allergies etc. It constantly scans your data and alerts you with related health issues. Do always stay informed with new researches and so on with Google Health. 

I would strongly recommend everyone to open up an account with Google Health. There is a huge potential for this service to everyone. Keeping track of your health is the most important thing besides your financial track records. I would love to see a personal financial management web application by Google too.
