When I wrote the post about caller ethics, I drafted this post as a follow up. When it comes to ethics, I believe even the receiver should have some guidelines.

  • In order to be more organized and not let your private life to be interrupted, have two separate numbers. One for work and the other for personal.
  • Switch off work phones after your working hours and do not give out your personal number to any regular folk. If necessary do only provide your business contact number.
  • Always keep it point not to answer or dial out business calls from personal mobile number. Protects your privacy.
  • If unknown calls are repeated and seem to be annoying, ignore it. If required, send out a “who is it text” message. Prevent you from wasting precious time.
  • If its a person you know or your close one’s and you are in a meeting, do send a I will call/text you back later respond. Advised to save such messages as standard templates in your phone.
