I was having a good conversation a while ago regarding the chances of survival of business on the Internet. And what business can and should be brought to internet. I believe this is a strong topic. 

Well firstly, individuals based businesses are always the winners on the internet. But never the less corporate business that target individuals as well do get the same gain. It is all about how we interpret our business strategies into a more humanly manner.  

The main theory in social media and the internet is all about a give & take policy. You need to give something in order to have some returns. Giving may be in a form of valuable blog post, resources, and so on that would bring you in returns more clients. Being transparent and truthful as well in any approach online sincerely leads to success. Below is a common compilation of various fields of professional work that I feel has great opportunities on the virtual medium.

  • Consulting - This is the gold mine for online business as freelancers. The is a huge demand of consulting in today’s world. May it be on health or technology. People need your consulting. For example my social media consulting for business is a need for growing business. 
  • Real Estate - Its not about just putting up a site and listings of available properties. You have to be more humanly. How? There is nothing better then blogs and the social media. Brand your self or your company. Commonly it works best if you could merge both.
  • Services - Are you with design, writing or marketing? If you have a service, you could virtually prosper. Grow your services with as much reality you could give. I repeat reality and humanity as it is the key ingredient on the internet. Get connected with social media application such as facebook and twitter and promote your services.

At times an extra point would be to mix the virtual and reality. Making connections virtually and bringing work back to reality has always been a great success. Use your connections online to get connected with opportunities offline.
